Cultural Recovery Center
A Base of Operations for the Cultural Recovery Project
The Cultural Recovery Center in Bourdon, Port-au-Prince, is a three-story, 7,600 square foot, concrete stucture which sustained no damage in the earthquake. The building is in a secured, gated compound formerly occupied by the U.N. Development Program. The Center houses the offices of staff members, and includes registrarial area, storage and conservation labs for work on paintings, artifacts, documents and media.
